Happy happy anniversary wishes!

Happy happy anniversary to our youngest wonderful daughter, Erin and our 3rd son, Paul! You began a wonderful journey, marriage and then on to being parents of our little Bugaboo. I look forward to seeing what the years of loving and growing with each other will bring you.  Love you both!

And on the needles, side one of the Heraldic Lion is complete and into the second side 10 rows!  This is going so much faster now as over the week I bought some pattern markers. What are pattern markers?  Magnetic strips you line up just below the row you are working on while working from a chart so your eye doesn't wander.  They are well worth the small investment as proven by myself...I could knit correctly while chatting at Crafternoon and at Knit n Natter!

Oh, yesterday was our first meeting of Crafternoon Southport!  I have missed my monthly crafting with others group so I organized a room at church to meet in and spread the word.  So far most of the crafty people know are knitters so there was alot of that going on but then we have a painter and a cross stitcher joining us next time along with my cardmaking.  Next meeting is 15th February!  Next time I will be sure to take some photos!

Today is a day of victory...

As anyone who works in the financial world, end of December to the end of January is an oh so important busy time of year.  Daily you work to account for every penny, pence, dinar, leu, euro, etc. and then the end of the year audit comes.

Today after scrutinizing over each account, Lynne and I can say we are ready to present the books to the accountant so we can file our yearly report with the Charities Commission!!!

This victory has helped me feel 100 lbs lighter!!!  I walk to the next step of the process confident!  Thanks Lynne for all your help!

Now I can go to knitting tonight and Crafternoon Southport on Saturday and relax!! Woohoo!

Happy happy birthday to our youngest daughter...Erin Stanley.  She is 30 today!  Here we are on one of her first days of life...

Tomorrow begins a new adventure for me...one of becoming a Stampin' Up demonstrator.  I am attending my first training meeting and meeting the local team as well as doing some Make n Takes and learning about the upcoming Sale-A-Bration.  I am looking forward to getting started.  Let me know if you need anything in the way of supplies!

And the knitting moves on...Heraldic Lion is on its way...

Happy knitting!

Need to get to bed but just wanted to show where we spent today...at Caerlaverock Castle in Scotland.  And then went to Sweetheart Abbey.  Brilliant day with our guests Claire Triller & Anne Kennedy.

Tomorrow Liverpool and Jamie Oliver's Italian for dinner!  I love being a tourist in my own backyard.

And of course, knitting away in the car.  Will post photos of the Lion Tea Cosy tomorrow!

Yesterday, 6th January, was our 35th wedding anniversary!  Time does fly when you are having fun...here's a look at what happened that wonderful day at the beginning of 1979!

My Facebook status read...'35 years ago we began our lives together as Mr. & Mrs. Paul Triller! It has been a great adventure so far and we look forward to what lies ahead. Best part is we are doing it together...I love you honey! — with David Triller at St Dominic's Church, Proctor, VT.

184 Likes and countless comments and best wishes...feeling loved!  And to celebrate, dinner and a movie, but wait we have our niece arriving shortly with her friend for a visit. So the celebration lives on with a trip to Scotland to discover some new castles and then a day in Liverpool with the Beatles experience and dinner at Jamie Oliver's!  A UK holiday and we get to sleep in our own bed each night, brilliant!

It is going to be a busy day so here's the photo of the Wolfie hat I finished last night.  One more to go but another deadline looms so it has been put on hold.

To go on the needles is a Heraldic Lion Tea Cosy for my hairdresser's Mum's birthday.  I was thinking about a month ago how I was going to pay for my SU demo kit and then the orders came in...imagine that!  I am adapting the Union Jack tea cosy pattern to fit this chart in instead.

I don't do charts often but I feel pretty sure this one will be okay.  Fair Isle here I come!  Happy Sunday to you all!

Missing A Day, Yuck!

I can't believe I wasn't able to post yesterday but I was concentrating too hard on finishing the Wolfie hat...but tonight I sewed on the buttons so it is finished.

Photo to follow tomorrow!

2nd Day of continuous posting -

Today, 2nd January, marks the 38th anniversary of meeting my lovely husband Paul. Some would say I was and still am crazy but that is not up for discussion. He was and is the greatest earthly gift I could ever receive. Now I wait expectantly to see what other adventures we will go on together. Love you honey!

Last night I started getting some card ideas together...what do you think?

Here's a birthday card idea:

I used the International Bazaar papers, Pacific Point inks and Whisper White and Tangerine Tango papers.

I have more on the drawing board and will post photos tomorrow.

We didn't get to Scotland today as the weather up there wasn't good but it was beautiful here so we stayed.  Helped Paul along with his geocaching.  We had some good fun.  Found one cache that had a jigsaw puzzle to solve to find out the rest of the clues.  Later at home, I put Christmas away and made some fantastic chili con carne and corn bread for dinner.  If I do say so myself!

Well back to the knitting!

to all of you.  Started the New Year giving my very sleepy husband a great beginning of the year kiss. Tomorrow marks our 38th Anniversary of meeting each other!  Wow, how time flies but I can confirm we still do crazy and fantastic things together...and to begin the year on a high note, we are taking a drive to Scotland tomorrow.  Not sure what we are going to see, but we need an adventure. What better way than to go somewhere you have never been before?

Another new adventure for me in 2014 is to become a Stampin Up Demonstrator.  I am currently too far away from my friend Anna to save on postage and handling and I found that Southport is in need of a demonstrator.  I make over 400+ cards a year for family, friends and our supporters so why not get all the benefits.  Please pray that this will be a fulfilling venture.

I have been given the opportunity to do a workshop a month at my favourite yarn shop, The Yarn Fairy.  We begin on the 25th January!  And as I am missing my Crafternoon buddies in Bedworth, I thought I would also begin a connect group at my new church, Shoreline Church, here in Southport.  Will be calling the church office on the 3rd to see if they have approved my request to meet there.  More details on that to come.

And yes, this blog will still be about my knitting.  I have been busy knitting for a family that is multiplying.  Our friends, Jim & Eileen, have two married children, Tracy and David.  Tracy and her husband, Adam, are expecting their first daughter in February. And David and his wife, Laura, already have one son but are expecting their second son soon.

Tracy saw a Craftsy pattern photo I posted on my FB page and asked me to knit her up a hat.  It is the Foxy & Wolfie Hat. So I have made one for Tracy & Adam's new daughter.

Now I am on to the Wolfie hats, one for the Big Brother to be and the newborn.  I will post a photo soon.  Struggling again with the short rows for the ears!  But I will get it, I am determined.

Well that is it for now...happy crafting!
